El segundo día en La Habana lo organizamos bastante bien, por la mañana aprovechamos para visitar el Hotel Nacional y tomarnos un mojito en sus espectaculares jardines (ver post aquí) y después allí cogimos un Chevrolet de los años 50 para llegar hasta la Plaza de la Revolución y después para ir a comer al Paladar La Guarida.
La Plaza de la Revolución es una de las plazas más grandes del mundo (72.000 metros cuadrados) en donde se han acogido mitines políticos, actos de solidaridad y ha sido testigo de hechos históricos como el triunfo de la revolución.
Los distintos edificios que veis en las fotos son el Ministerio del Interior con la cara del Ché en la fachada y el de Camilo Cienfuegos es el edificio de telecomunicaciones y en el otro lado de la plaza está el memorial a José Martí.
The second day in Havana started with a morning visit to the "Hotel Nacional" (review here) and then there we took a Chevrolet of the 50's to reach "Plaza de la Revolución".
The "Plaza de la Revolución" is one of the biggest squares in the world (capacity of 15.000 persons) where all the political speech took place, acts of solidarity and has witnessed historic moments as the triumph of cuban revolution.
The buildings you're going to see in the pics are the Ministry of Interior with the face of Che Guevara on the facade and Camilo Cinefuegos in the other representing the telecommunications building, and on the other side of the square is the memorial to José Martí.
