GEIERLAY, EL PUENTE COLGANTE MÁS LARGO DE ALEMANIA @ TRAVELS

Durante nuestros días en Alemania, fuimos a caminar por el puente colgante más largo de Alemania, Geierlay (tan sólo a 30 minutos de Burg Eltz, uno de los castillos más bonitos de Alemania que también visitamos, os dejo aquí el link). Es una de las atracciones turísticas más visitadas en Alemania además es de acceso libre, no tienes que pagar por cruzar el puente.

El puente está a más de 90m de altura y se extiende durante 360 metros por encima del cañón Geierlay, la verdad es que es toda una experiencia (si no tienes miedo a las alturas).

Nosotros después nos fuimos al pueblecito Cochem a comer y a pasar la tarde, está súper cerca y es el típico pueblo Alemán, merece la pena aunque sea parar a dar una vuelta.

During our holidays in Germany, we went to walk through the longest suspensión bridge called Geierlay (it only takes you 30 minutes from Burg Eltz, you can check here the post at one of the beautiful German castles). It's one of the most popular tourist destinations in Germany and it's free, you can cross the bridge without paying.

The bridge is 90m high and its length is 360 meters above the Geierlay canyon, it's and incredible expereince (if you don't have acrophobia).

After crossing the bridge we went to have lunch to Cochem, a cute German village perfect to go for a walk and going up to its castle.

BURG ELTZ, UN CASTILLO ALEMÁN DE CUENTO @ TRAVELS

La primera parada que hicimos cuando llegamos a Alemania fue Burg Eltz, un castillo medieval en medio del bosque, oculto en una colina, sólo accesible a través de un sendero que te llevará más de 10 minutos recorrer antes de descubrir el castillo de entre la nada ¡es increíble girar una curva y... encontrarte el castillo!

Además nosotros cuando fuimos (en febrero) pudimos disfrutar del castillo para nosotros sólo porque no había nadie, pudimos sacar fotos sin nadie alrededor y, la única pega es que no pudimos entrar dentro porque estaba cerrado (creo que porque fuimos demasiado pronto porque después íbamos al puente en suspensión más largo de Alemania, Geierlay, podéis leer también la experiencia aquí)... fue tan mágico estar en ese lugar sólo nosotros.

The first stop we did in Germany was to visit Burg Eltz, a medieval castle in the middle of a forest, hidden on a hill, only accessible through a path that takes you 10 minutes to the most amazing castle I've ever seen! 

Moreover, when we went (in February) there were no one around the area so we could enjoy the views, the castle... It was totally magical! The bad part was that the castle was closed that day (I think because we went too early because later we went to Geierlay, review here the post), but you can get into and discover ever part of the castle.
